Dr. David Bacon Counsellor of science and innovation of British Embassy visited magnesium center

    In the morning of April 30, 2010, Dr. David Bacon, Counsellor of science and innovation of British Embassy, visited magnesium center. Prof. Pan Fusheng, Director of the National Engineering Research Center for Magnesium Alloys, and Prof. Zhang Dingfei, Vice director of the National Engineering Research Center for Magnesium Alloys, gave the guests a cordial reception. Prof. Pan Fusheng introduced the current research and progress in the research and development of magnesium alloys, the industrialization, the technologies development and international cooperation of magnesium center, after the guests visiting the exhibiting room of the center. Dr. David Bacon gave a highly remark on the achievements of magnesium alloys development of magnesium center, and also introduced the duties of science and innovation of British Embassy, the current and forefront research field in the United Kingdom as well as the funding projects  of the promotion of international cooperation for the British Government to British experts. Dr. David Bacon said that the purpose of this trip was to recognize the research advantages of the National Engineering Research Center for Magnesium Alloys, and hoped to promote the cooperation of the UK research institutes with magnesium center.
