Prof. Pan Fusheng and Prof. Zhang Dingfei introduced the status of magnesium industries in Chongqing city and the current situation of R&D, technologies development, product applications and international cooperation etc. of magnesium center respectively. Senior engineer Gao Qiong said that the purpose of this trip was to have technical exchanges on the lightweight in automotive and hoped to promote the application of magnesium alloys on the interior and exterior parts in Volkswagen. After the meeting, the guests visited the exhibiting room, experiment workshop and some testing equipment of the center, accompanied by Prof. Wang Jingfeng and Associate Prof. Peng Jian.
